Chief cook and bottle-washer

When April's father, a homebuilder, asked her at age 12 to help him with his new home flyers, she didn't realize the prescient nature of the request. Ten years later she found herself in New York in the advertising business, working as a sales assistant. In no time at all, she had wormed her way into a spot at BBDO cutting her sharp teeth on the media buying assignments for Pepsi, Burger King and Clearasil accounts.

April's formative entrepreneurial venture was in the unwired network business in New York, but Thayer Media in Colorado proved to be the most engaging business project of her career. Today, Thayer Media has more than 15 years of media strategy history, a great list of clients, a wonderful group of people and a few strands of gray hair to validate it.
